In 2000 we embarked on the planning stages for the Ashore Project. The project required us to clear out approximately 5 acres of space in Nsukka, Nigeria to create a purified water system that still runs to this day. We opened Ashore in 2002 to the general public in the Nsukka community. Residents can use the water and different sections of the extensive water project to collect water for their families, take showers, and to merely drink when thirsty. Thousands of people have been positively affected in the region by Ashore. We continue our efforts to further develop and maintain the decade old structure. There is always more to do and we absolutely realize this.
